Extra-curricular Activities
The staff organise around sixty clubs per week at lunchtime and after school. These include basketball, soccer, running, netball, badminton, rugby, guitar, orchestra, dance, sign language, and gardening. There are also match fixtures out of school time and parents may be asked to help with transport and refreshments. All this work is undertaken voluntarily by staff.
In addition, we offer after school clubs which are run by out of school agencies, at a cost to the students. These activities are table tennis, karate, dance, soccer, cricket and tennis . Details can be obtained from the school office. These activities support our aims within school and give opportunities for all children to develop skills and talents beyond the classroom.
Day and Residential Visits
We are aware of the value of such visits, which feature highly in the school’s plans. Participation in school trips is dependent on the students displaying appropriate behaviour and discipline in school prior to the trip. Staff reserve the right to assess the suitability of students and if necessary withdraw them from the trip at any stage prior to the event.
We are conscious of the cost involved in such visits and are always prepared to consider helping families who may need it, upon written request.
